The SwissTech Convention Center sits in the heart of Europe, right in Lausanne, Switzerland. We are ideally located on the EPFL Campus, the “MIT of Europe”. The access is very easy since they are many ways to get there. It is accessible by train, by car or by plane. Wherever you are, you will find an easy way to access our meeting center.

Highlights in Lausanne
Lausanne old town with cathedral – the impressive cathedral is surrounded by beautiful, car-free roads. Since 1405 a watch in the clock tower makes sure there is no fire and shouts out the hours from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
“Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage” – provides an overview of the history of the Olympic games, from the first 1896 summer games in Athens through to the present day.
Lake Geneva cruise – paddlewheel steamers and motor vessels highlight the attractions of the Lake Geneva region as seen from the water.
Fondation de l’Hermitage – the foundation presents changing art exhibitions of the highest caliber in a magnificent setting dating from the 19th century.
Train des vignes – leisurely train journey onboard the «Train of Vines» from Vevey to Chexbres through the winegrowing region of the Lavaux, high above Lake Geneva.
Stroll by the lake in Ouchy: take metro M2 direction Ouchy, turn left when exiting the station. You will reach the pier and you can start the walk along the lake until Pully (40 minutes) or Lutry (1h). You can come back by bus.

Highlights around Lausanne
Lavaux (UNESCO World Heritage Site). 15min by train from Lausanne. For a nice walk in Lavaux take the train to the village of Chexbres and walk down the terrasse winyards until the village of Saint-Saphorin, for example.

How to reach Lausanne
By plane, train and public transport
Lausanne can be reached by direct trains from Geneva airport (about 1 h) or from Zurich airport (2:30 h). The long-distance railway stations are located directly at both airports. You can buy tickets online (www.cff.ch), through the CFF app, or from ticket machines at the stations (you can switch the language to English on the touch screen); however, you cannot buy tickets on the train. Seat reservation is not required although might be advisable at peak hours (7-9 am, 4-6 pm). Lausanne can also be reached in a few hours by high speed trains from many European cities, e.g.
• Grenoble: 2 hours 50 minutes
• Milan: 2 hours 30 minutes
• Paris: 3 hours 40 minutes

The city tax is not included and ranges from CHF 5.0 to CHF 7.0 per person and per night, depending on the hotel category.
